Managing Director Brian Yano leads statewide property management and Asset Services operations for Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks, with responsibility for business development, client relationships, property management training, and operational leadership across Hawaiʻi. He brings more than two decades of commercial real estate leadership experience across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific region.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks, Yano held senior leadership roles with Coldwell Banker Commercial, JLL, CBRE, Colliers Hawaiʻi, A&B Properties, and Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation. His work has included institutional, public, and private assets across retail, resort retail, office, industrial, medical, institutional, and mixed-use environments.
Brian’s experience includes leading property teams across more than 26 retail properties statewide, managing operations for The Shops at Wailea, overseeing statewide property management and asset management functions for neighbor island assets, and supporting a Pacific Region portfolio of more than 6.5 million square feet of office, retail, industrial, and facilities management properties. He has also led large-scale institutional facilities operations within Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation’s Maui Region, with oversight across maintenance, biomedical engineering, environmental services, life safety, food services, transportation, parking, and fleet management.
Across these roles, Yano has been responsible for the work that determines asset performance in practice: operating budgets, capital planning, monthly financial reporting, vendor contracts, tenant and client relationships, property operations, facilities management, construction coordination, lease administration, tenant retention, team development, and service standards. His background reflects a strong understanding of both ownership expectations and day-to-day execution in complex operating environments.
Based in Hawaiʻi, Brian brings local market knowledge, operational discipline, and trusted relationships across the state’s commercial real estate, business, hospitality, healthcare, and nonprofit communities. His approach is grounded in hands-on oversight, responsive client service, and practical coordination among owners, tenants, vendors, property teams, and community partners.
