Before transitioning into brokerage, Hugh worked as a Planner at Wilson Okamoto Corporation, supporting land use planning, zoning analysis, entitlement efforts, and due diligence for development projects across the state, experience that gives him a working understanding of the regulatory and planning considerations behind commercial real estate decisions.
Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, Hugh is passionate about building long-term relationships and finding commercial real estate solutions that support his clients' goals, bringing a team-oriented, preparation-driven approach shaped by his background as a competitive athlete.
Hugh graduated from Punahou School, where he was a three-year varsity football letter winner, team captain, first-team All-ILH quarterback, and All-State Honorable Mention selection, before going on to the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a four-year member of the football team, playing quarterback for the Penn Quakers. He is conversational in Japanese.
