He has taken key leadership positions in State and City Government: serving as an Asset Manager for the Housing & Finance Development Corporation of Hawaii while overseeing nearly $1 Billion of Affordable, Senior, and teacher housing and commercial properties, and now serves as the City’s Asset Manager for the new $8.6 Billion light rail project. Rick Manayan’s 28-year career in real-estate, investment, development, asset/property management has included general management, construction management, consulting and entrepreneurial experience with international investors from Japan, Philippines, Korea, and China. Their investments involved an international health care chain, start-up business in Silicon Valley, commercial and residential land development as well as Capital Management firms. As Vice President of Development for Trans-Pacific Empire, Rick was responsible for all phases of shopping center and residential development, including debt financing, government approvals, tenant negotiations and construction management.
