Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks Expands Statewide Asset Services Across Hawaiʻi

Firm appoints veteran Hawaiʻi executive Brian Yano as
Managing Director, Asset Services

HONOLULU, HI – June 1, 2026Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks (CWCB) today announced the expansion of its Asset Services and commercial property management operations across Hawaiʻi, with the appointment of veteran Hawaiʻi commercial real estate executive Brian Yano as Managing Director, Asset Services. He will lead the firm’s statewide property management and Asset Services operations, with responsibility for business development, client relationships, and operational leadership across Hawaiʻi.

“Select Hawaiʻi submarkets have long been underserved at the institutional level – not for lack of talent, but for lack of world class asset services at scale. That changes now. Brian brings the relationships, experience, and market intelligence to help strengthen our established presence on Oʻahu while supporting growth opportunities across the state.” — Steve Sombrero, President, Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks

This represents one of CWCB’s most substantial commitments to its statewide presence in recent years, driven by growing demand from island property owners and investors seeking sophisticated asset management, hands-on operational oversight, and trusted local relationships.

Yano brings more than two decades of commercial real estate leadership experience across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific region, including senior roles with Coldwell Banker Commercial, JLL, CBRE, Colliers Hawaiʻi, A&B Properties, and Hawaiʻi Health Systems Corporation.

In his new role, Yano will work closely with Managing Director Joe Haas, who leads the firm’s brokerage operations, and Chief Financial Officer Helen Chong to support the continued growth and operational leadership of CWCB’s statewide property management and Asset Services.

“Hawaiʻi’s commercial real estate market requires a unique combination of local knowledge, operational discipline, and trusted relationships. As investment continues expanding across Hawaiʻi, owners increasingly need partners who understand the market and the importance of on-the-ground execution. That intersection is where I have spent much of my career and where I intend to continue building.” — Brian Yano, Managing Director, Asset Services, Cushman & Wakefield ChaneyBrooks

Beyond his professional career, Yano has maintained active leadership roles within Hawaiʻi’s business and nonprofit communities, including board service with the Maui Chamber of Commerce, the Maui Visitors & Convention Bureau, Hospice Maui, and other local organizations.

Through its Asset Services platform, CWCB delivers commercial property management, operational oversight, project coordination, tenant relations, financial reporting, facilities management, and strategic asset support across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific region, supported by expanded statewide operational leadership and service capabilities.
